While in rehab for cocaine addiction, Ruggiano found out his mother was beaten by his brother-in-law for confronting him about running up a $700 bar tab. After receiving approval from his father “Fat Andy” and John Gotti, Ruggiano arranged the hit by luring his brother-in-law to a social club to discuss a score. The body was disposed of and never found.
